15-year-old Fisayo Malaolu was emotion laden when he realised that his dream to become a professional ‘Robotic Engineer’ may be aborted after he and his father, Oluseye Malaolu lost their arms in tyre explosion.
Both father and son whose arms have been amputated now find life difficult ever since the incident happened on November 2nd, 2019 are seeking the supports of Nigerians to regain all that they have lost as a result of the incident.
The ugly development had also caused an abrupt stop to boy Malaolu’s education as he continues to experience various health challenges thereafter. He’s seeking financial support to fix his health and further his education.
Narrating their ordeal at his residence in Idi-Ori, Abeokuta, Father Oluseye Malaolu, a welder said the incident happened while he and his son who was at the workshop to assist him (father) were welding the rim of a customer’s tyre before the tyre exploded after which the duo lost their arms and some other parts of their bodies left unbalance.
Father Malaolu who now walks with the aide of walking stick, lamented, saying that he had had sold virtually everything he had to restore his son’s health, yet. He also lamented that he keeps spending money on drugs and other medical care every month to fix his son’s leg.
He said the explosion did not only caused him to lose his hand, but also became deaf.
Boy Malaolu who also spoke said, “I am 15 years old. All I know is that when they brought the tyre to our shop when we started welding it, it exploded and since then I have been in the hospital and I need the help of Nigerians because it affected my hand and leg and I need Nigerians to help me because I need drugs and other things to regain my health and well being, i attends saint Peter I am in SSS2”.
“I am a welder trainee under my Dad, our shop is at ilese awo beside NEPA office. I still wish to go back to school and I need the help of Nigerians to help me so dat I can go back to school and help for the treatment of my leg.
“I am the second born and am in SSS2, I was able to write WAEC. I want to become a “Robotic Engineer” in the future because I love to be helping people. Please Nigerians, don’t let me die with my vision”. Fisayo pleaded.
MOTHER GOES BEGGING TO RESTORE GOOD OLD TIMES
Mrs Oluwabimpe Malaolu who could stand the shame that the current situation has smeared on her family resolved to seek the help of people around her but the conditions that her supposed benefactors usually place before her discouraging.
Her supposed helpers would rather demand demand for sex before redering any support.
Her words “I am someone who is hardworking I sell drinks and others, whenever we want to go to the hospital I will make sure I sell market so dat we will have money and at FMC is not a small money to take care of this child so since then we have been struggling, if we go to some people’s place they will promise and will not fulfil it, yet, some will demand for sex before they can help.
“I’m not not used to begging, But, the situation now warrants that, what am asking from Nigerians is dat they should help my child because of his future and he is still young, I ask for this support because of his leg, we are still going to the hospital, Iron is in his leg and there is assurance that he can still work with the leg only if we are able to treat it according to the Doctors.
“I can’t carry the burden alone and I am tired please, whenever i go for help from some people they will say until they see laps before they can help him, but, I beg the merciful people to please help.
