2023: Presidential Race Is Democratic, Compete With Older Politicians -Atiku Challenges Youths

Former Vice President and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate in the last election, Atiku Abubakar on Saturday challenged Nigerian youths to jostle the office of the president with older politicians in the coming 2023 elections.
Atiku said the Presidential race is democratic and competitive, adding that the youths should not seek that the elderly in politics quit aspiration for them.
The former VP spoke during his visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Penthouse inside the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Atiku was in a closed-door meeting with Obasanjo but he didn’t disclose the purpose of the meeting to newsmen.
When asked by Press men the certainty of him winning the Presidential ticket, he quizzed “Have I ever lost the ticket?
Atiku who arrived his ex- boss’ residence at 10: 10 am then expressed the confidence that he will get the PDP ticket for 2023 Presidential race.
” I came to meet my boss. We will let you know when I declared, we will give a formal announcement. Asked if he is sure of getting the party’s presidential ticket,
“Have I ever failed to get the ticket?Let the youths compete with the elders. It is competition. It is democracy,” Atiku said.
Atiku later proceeded to the palace of Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, in Ake, Abeokuta where he recalled his stint in Ogun State as a trained Customs Officer.
Although, Atiku did not disclose his political ambition at the palace of Alake but the revered monarch prayed that God will be with him in his quest and grant him his wishes.
