2023: Wike, Fayose Warn Ogun Residents Against Returning APC, Endorse Adebutu For Abiodun’s Seat

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike and the former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose on Wednesday warned Ogun residents against re-electing an All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate as governor in the coming elections.
The duo sounded the warning when they stormed the state to support a former Federal Lawmaker, representing Remo Federal Constituency, Hon Oladipupo Adebutu who declared his intention to run the Governorship race in the state.
Wike and Fayose, at the declaration ceremony boasted of Adebutu’s special ability to take the state to the eldorado under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Wike in his address also said that the ruling APC had made life unbearable for Nigerians under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
His words “I believe you will take this power from APC in this State. As am going to take the Power from APC in Nigeria because APC has failed . Look at hunger, insecurity, terrorist attack on our train, Nobody is safe again , our women cannot go to farm.
“We are not going to do election just to be in the ballot, it’s to win election. We are tired of putting people in the ballot , now we want to put people who can win election .
Fayose insisted that it is time for Adebutu to be the governor of ogun state, adding that none can take it away from him.
Adebutu however said he’s ready to rescue Ogun State from the hardship under the current administration.
He disclosed that his desire to take over the rein of leadership from the APC led government in the state come next year was due to the ruling party’s bad governance and poor performance in every area.
Adebutu described himself as the Joshua that has the capacity to lead the residents of the state out of the wilderness of suffering imposed on them by the APC-led government.
He said “time is now to say enough is enough for all the suffering the APC government has brought on the people. Luckily our party is now devoid of rancour, the party is solid and united as ever. We have gone through the wilderness and I am now the Joshua that will lead the people to the promised land.
“The APC government has no doubt failed woefully, this is a government that lacks human kindness, no infrastructure, no light, no road, there is so much hunger in the land, no one is safe either, killings and kidnapping everywhere. All these we shall tackle headlong when PDP is back to power come 2023. It is on this note that I am telling you that our Ward to Ward Campaign begins next week Tuesday because we must bring back the smiles to the faces of our people”.
