Accord party denies alleged alliance with PDP

The Ogun state chapter of Accord Party, has refuted that it has no alliance with the governorship candidate of People’s Democratic Party,PDP, Hon.Ladi Adebutu.

The Party in a statement issued by its Chairman,  Wale Adebisi, cleared that its party was not among other eight parties that had alliance with PDP and its governorship candidate, adding that those who associated with Hon.Ladi Adebutu and the PDP were not the authentic Accord Party members in the state.

Prince Adebisi also reaffirmed that the governorship and Deputy governorship candidates of the party were Dr Omosanya Abayomi Monsuru and Alhaja Adenekan Bashirat Folashade as published and announced by INEC Chairman, Yakubu Mahmmod.

The statement further reads” the Ogun State Accord party has not fielded one Mr Oke Oluwarotimi Michael who claimed to be the Governorship Candidate, adding that One Alhaji Tajudeen Olayokun who had not participated in any Accord party’s activities/ programmes also impersonated to have been the State party Chairman because of the money Hon Ladi Adebutu Promised to give them, without verification of the authenticity of who were the authentic Excos recognized by National body of the party..

“We enjoin the general public, especially ogun state electorate to disregard the fake news, purportedly peddled by the impersonators as their plans were to mislead, misinform and disinform eligible voters and to also soil the integrity of our party to disrepute.

“Let me ,however, emphasize that Accord is a peace loving and accommodating party that would not want to stain the party reputation because of economic and social gains. The party executive in the state and local government areas, warned the impersonators to stop dissipating their energies to defrauding Politicians with fake identities or risk legal action, while urging the PDP and its governorship candidate to always seek clarifications before granting any interview on unverified information in this global age where information can easily be verified”.

Prince Adebisi noted that the Ogun state Accord Party had pitched its tent with the incumbent governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, who by the virtue of the developmental projects and programmes he has brought to all the three Senatorial Zones of Ogun state deserve to be reelected.
