
The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ogun state in the last election, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu has shown readiness to reconstruct the Isale Oja Bridge at Kuto Market in Abeokuta south local government of the state.
In a letter personally signed by the former governorship candidate on Tuesday and addressed to the Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Balogun Olaniyi Afeez Adebutu requested for approval to the bridge, emphasising that the Kuto Market is one of the foremost markets in Egbaland.
Adebutu stressed the need for motorable and accessible roads to support the livelihood of its users, reiterating his commitment to fostering a conducive environment and accessible roadways that promote economic activities across Abeokuta.
According to him, his request aims to provide convenience, safety, and economic benefits to the market and community at large.
He equally noted that the initiative is part of his dedication to enhancing infrastructure in the Kuto area, enabling businesses to thrive and promoting economic growth.
The letter reads in part “As the Lisa Aje of Egbaland, one of my many commitments is ensuring a conducive market environment and accessible roads that facilitate economic activities and improve the welfare of our people in Egbaland.
“In light of this, I wish to bring to your attention the state of the Isale Oja bridge at Kuto. Kuto Market, being one of the foremost markets in Egbaland deserves motorable and accessible roads that will enhance trade, ease transportation and support the livelihood of our people.
“With good intentions and a deep sense of responsibility, I request your government’s approval for me as the Lisa Aje of Egbaland to oversee and facilitate the reconstruction of the long-abandoned Isale Oja Kuto Bridge.
“This initiative aims to provide convenience, safety and economic benefit to the market and community at large.” the letter read.
