Against all odds, Tella emerges Abk North Assembly candidate

Babatunde Tela has clinched the All Progressives Congress state’s Assembly ticket to contest for Abeokuta North Assembly seat in 2023.

Tella who is the former Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government secured an impeccable victory, polling 36 votes to defeat his rivals, Afeez Sokunle, Yomade Biobaku  and Akeem Oluseye.

The election which was held at Unity High School in Ago-Ika area of Abeokuta began at exactly 2:00 pm after the screening exercise which started at 1:00 pm.

The free,fair and hitch free exercise was conducted under heavy security presence and was monitored by officials of the State Independent National Electoral Commission.

Tella who was obviously elated described the victory as a clarion call to serve the people of Ogun East, pledging good and equitable representation of emerge in the 2023 elections.

His words “This is an opportunity that I have been looking for. An opportunity to serve my people. I will give them good and equitable representation. l am challenged and I will not disappoint my people.

“The process was free and fair as we could all see. This is a sign that our party, APC does not give room for bias or any form of manipulation in a situation like this.

“By the grace of God, come 2023 we will be at Oke-Mosan giving our good people dividend of democracy. I will make sure I try my best and I will not disappoint them.

Delegates at the primary adjudged the process as satisfactory.
