Children’s Day: Balogun urges media to give voice to children
As the nation celebrates the 2022 International Children’s Day, the Senior Special Adviser on Energy to Prince Dapo Abiodun, Balogun Olaniyi has appealed to the Media to open airwaves to the children for their voices to be heared air on issues that concern them.
Balogun in his Childrens Day message in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital described Children as jewels of the society adding that they are a springboard to the future.
He said urged owners of various media organisations to allow the children to freely express themselves on air.
His words “Young, tender, loving and often innocent; these boys and girls from varying religious and ethnic origins hold out a promise of a better and more beautiful tomorrow.
“By virtue of dreams and hopes, these inquisitive and adventurous lot are an assurance that the millions of generations coming will live in safety and comfort.
“Lovely as they are, children all over share a common vulnerability. Age almost always renders them unripe, unformed and ingenuous to confront life’s challenges. It has proven to be a weakness throughout the years of their growth.
“The society owes these promising and inspiring lot a responsibility of proper guidance and protection all through their various stages of development.
“At the same time Balogun urges the delegates today to be free, fair and credible in their conducts.
“They should have in mind that their votes for me is a vote for betterment and sound development of Abeokuta south constituency.”
