Community Leadership: Orile-Imo Youths Pass Vote Of Confidence On Olorunsogo Jimo

The Youth leaders in the thirty three villages in Orile-Imo, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ogun State have passed a vote of confidence on Chief Olorunsogo Jimoh Idris as the the youth leader in general of Orile-Imo land.
The vote of confidence was passed in a  statement signed by the Secretary General, Chief Segun Adekunle who is the youth leader of “Logbara community in Orile-Imo is in reaction to a report that one man has been parading himself as Youth leader in general of Orile-Imo.
Some of the youth leaders who signed the vote of confidence letter are the Chief Lukmon Akorede Ogunleye, the vice youth leader, Imo general, Kola Ogunseye, Razaq Azeez, Fatai Sokunbi, Olalekan Jinadu,  Isa Oladipupo, Isiaka Ogunwemimo,Kazeem Erinosho,  Sunday Sodiya, Kemi Abisola, Jimi Sobola, Oni bata village, Yusuf Ogunleye among others.
They said that Chief Olorunsogo Jimoh Idris remains their youth leader in general, saying that any other person is a counterfeit.
The statement reads ” Our attention has been drawn to a report  in the media that one man is parading himself as the Youth leader in  general of Orile-  Imo. This is nothing but untrue.
“We hereby notify the general public that the only Youth leader in general  that we know and we recognise is Chief Olorunsogo Jimoh Idris. All the youth leaders in all the thirty three villages in Orile-Imo are  fully in support of Olorunsogo Jimoh because of his quality leadership style.
“Chief Olorunsogo Jimoh has the backing of the “Ogboni of Imo”, the local government and the youths in the community. Any other  person parading himself as the youth leader in general is nothing but an impersonator.
“We are calling on our amiable Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Alamutu to intervene as some set of people are planning to disturb the peace of of Orile-Imo land.
“These set of people should be called to order so as to allow for peace to reign in Orile-Imo. We youths of Orile-Imo are peace makers and we are not ready to disturb the peace of the community
The Youth leader in general,  Chief Olorunsogo Jimoh in an interview with newsmen disclosed that the late Olu of Orile-Imo land, Oba Kolawole Olubiyi, the  Ogboni of Imo land and the youths made him “Olori Odo general” and he has the  certificate issued to him from the late Kabiyesi and the local government council.
He maintained that he remains the youth leader in general, saying that the  impersonator is planning to cause chaos in Orile-imo land.
Chief Olorunsogo therefore called on the Commissioner of Police, CP Alamutu to intervene in the matter.
