Dangote Praises Tinubu’s NNPC Appointments, Vows to Continue Fight Against Oil Sector Cabals
President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing a capable leadership team at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
Dangote said, the team, led by Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari as Group Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Ahmadu Musa Kida as Non-Executive Chairman, brings extensive technical expertise and managerial experience.
He expressed confidence that the new management team will drive reform and innovation in the energy sector, addressing systemic challenges and aligning with the President’s vision of a $1 trillion economy.
He noted that the team’s appointments reflect the President’s strategic intent to revitalize Nigeria’s most strategic public enterprise.
Regarding his previous statement about fighting cabals in the oil sector, Dangote clarified that it was not related to the new NNPC leadership.
Instead, he identified the cabals as major oil marketers and traders who seek to frustrate President Tinubu’s efforts to revamp the economy.
Dangote praised the NNPC’s recent reforms, citing a renewed focus on transparency, efficiency and accountability.
