Eid-Kabir: OGYASD President emphasises importance of unity, progress through prayers

Abeokuta – The Ogun Youth Advocate for Social Development (OGYASD) has issued a call to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and particularly in Ogun State, urging them to pray for the nation’s unity, peace, and progress during the Eid- Kabir celebrations.
Comrade Oluseyi Alamu, the President of OGYASD, conveyed this message in a statement released on Wednesday.
Recognizing the significance of Eid Kabir as a time of reflection, devotion, and sacrifice for Muslims, OGYASD highlighted the importance of collective prayer in fostering positive change and development in Nigeria.
Alamu emphasized the need for unity and solidarity in tackling the various challenges facing the country.
He said, “As we celebrate Eid Kabir, it is crucial that we come together as a nation to pray for the peace, stability, and progress of Nigeria. Our prayers hold immense power and can help us overcome the daunting challenges we face.
” Let us use this auspicious occasion to foster unity and understanding among all citizens, regardless of religion or ethnic background.”
OGYASD, a youth-led organization committed to social development and advocacy, has been actively involved in promoting peace, youth empowerment, and community engagement in Ogun State. Their call for prayers during Eid Kabir reflects their dedication to advancing the well-being of the state and the nation as a whole.
The President of OGYASD further stressed the importance of prayers specifically for Ogun State, highlighting the need for sustainable development, improved infrastructure, and enhanced living conditions for its residents.
Comrade Oluseyi Alamu called on Muslims in Ogun State to use the occasion of Eid Kabir to beseech divine intervention for the progress and prosperity of the state.
