The Group expressed satisfaction over the report, saying that it looks forward to response from the Lagos State and Federal governments.

OGYASD also insisted that the federal government must not drag its feet on measures to be taken to address the alleged abuses meted out by some members of the security forces.

The President of the group, Comrade Oluseyi Alamu in a statement in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital also demanded immediate dismissal of security operatives who brutalised and killed innocent protesters during the protest.

The statement reads, ‘’All members of OGYASD warmly welcome the conclusion of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the 2021 Endsars protest which was peaceful. The outcome indicated that if lies thrive for long, the truth shall definitely be unveiled later. We however look forward to the Lagos State and Federal government’s responses as part of the process.

“The report indicated that the allegations leveled against the security operatives who were expected to maintain peace during the protest was true. They actually murdered some of the peaceful protesters and brutalised many others.

“We hereby demand that immediate actions be taken against the erring officers, this will not only serve as avenging the murder of the deceased but will equally repaint the image of the President Muhammadu Buhari led- administration which many Nigerian youths have agged unjust, terrible and bias due to initial denial of the killings by the military during the protest.

“We also want the Lagos state government and FG to compensate the families of the deceased in due time so as to console them of the great loss.
