FUNAAB SUG to Empower Students With Business Grants, Execute Multi-million Naira Projects On Campus
The student union of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is set to execute multi-million naira projects on the campus to mark the union’s 33 anniversary.
The President of the union, Tijani Habeebullahi who disclosed this while addressing newsmen in a press conference held at the school campus ahead of the FUNAABSU’s 33 anniversary disclosed that the project execution will include construction of a 500 capacity pavilion and multipurpose shed of N2.5 million.
Other projects, according to the President, include; construction of mine eco-brick pavements.
Habeebullahi also noted that the FUNAABSU will organise career and entrepreneurship development workshops as well as scholarship awards for not less than 33 students of the institution.
Among other interventions by the union, according to Habeebullahi, are facilitation of grants and support for students business owners.
His words “It is evident that we have focused on intellectual interventions as being the pathway for sustainable growth for our people, and providing much needed jobs for the hundreds of thousamds of young people graduating from various levels of our educational institutions
“We have worked quite hard, to ensure that we create the environment for investments small, medium-st and large investments With all these activities scheduled to hold in September 2023, we will be working all media outfits and associations on campus to propagate the gospel of the glory of our day’s”, he said.
“We hope that at the end of the event, we would have succeeded in arousing the consciousness of over fifteen thousand (15,000) dents to the culture of excellence, creativity and inspiration May the benefits of upholding the labor of our heroes pair by driving excellence, hard work, and hopes of a better and more sustainable future for us all come forth
