OGYASD President, Comrade Oluseyi Alamu in a statement in Abeokuta, the state capital lauded the governor’s gesture, describing it as a breakthrough for Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprise owners in the state.

The President, who also stressed that such a gesture will make small scale businesses grow and thrive, appealed to governor Abiodun to disburse funds for youth empowerment, stressing that there are so many youths in the state who need support for personal development.

Alamu lamented that talents and creative skills are lying untapped in several youths in the state that can only manifest through finance.

He noted that those skills and talents are capable of bringing development to the state as well as improving the economy.

For instance, he said “Some youths are gifted in craft, but they need money to start a business in this direction. Some, music and other forms of entertainment but they need money to thrive in the industry.

“We also have youths who want to further their education, if the government can initiate a scholarship programme for them, it will go a long way, ” he added.
