Group Writes Ogun Youths Ahead Of 2023 Elections

The Ogun Youth Advocate for Social Development (OGYASD) on Saturday writes the youths in Ogun state ahead the 2023 general elections, reminding them of the presence of political fabulists.
In the seven-paragraph letter, the group warned youths against being bought by politicians to cause violence before and during elections in the state.
The letter reads, “Dear Youths, 2023 is fast approaching and around the corner, and you know what that means. I’m sure you’ll have started noticing the presence of those big men again, the policians as well as the political gladiators that you’ve not seen for years.
“Yes! The time is here again. Your strength is once again very much needed. You’re now more important in your numbers. Those dead energies in you that have never been given a chance to be exerted, that frustrated golden talent of yours that had never been exploited. Yes! They’re here again to buy them all.
“They know what you want. They know what gets you salivating. They know what keeps you on your toes. They know it’s money, and they’re ready to invest it abundantly again.
“If only you’re wise and sharp, you then shoud begin to ask yourselves pivotal questions; Why is it now you’re being contacted? When was the last time you received such an honorary invitation? Have you been called upon for a meeting with such people of Calibre and Timber in years? Why is it now the money surfaced? What did they really want and what are there intentions? Why did they really need you specially more than anyone else? Where are there children in this critical time of their lives?
“I’m therefore taking this time out to seriously plead with you and to beg you in the name of whatever you believe in, to think seriously now before you limp. It is you and only you that have your life at stake.
“Whenever you’re being called upon, remember to ask them of their children first, then their response will then determine yours.
“Stay alert and alive. Electioneering will come and go. Excercise your franschise wisely and leave, then the rest for the umpire to perform their functions, leaving them with their conscience. Stay alive to be fruitful and shine gloriously to fulfil your destiny.”
