Otegbeye disclosed this while featuring as guest at the media parley organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council on Tuesday at Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre, Abeokuta.

He stressed that both ADC and PDP must carry their crosses, insisting that the political field was spacious enough for candidates of the parties to fight it out at the poll.

The ADC’s gubernatorial candidate equally stressed  that the traditional ruler’s endorsement of other  governorship candidates meant nothing to his candidacy.

Recall that some traditional rulers in the state had declared their support for the incumbent governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

The ADC gubernatorial candidate noted that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) doesn’t scan endorsements but recognized Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) .

He said ” Even as Senator Amosun gave me an endorsement, I won’t go to sleep , I’ll still do my work , go round and sell my agenda to people who ultimately will vote . The fact that those royal father’s say that in the open, they can take that narrative to make the governor happy .”

He however  commended the former Governor of the State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun for supporting and endorsing his governorship ambition saying that he’s  not ready to step down for any candidate(s) ahead of the March 18, 2023 elections.

Otegbeye declared that  he has gone beyond any thought of merger, stressing that at this point in time it’s almost impossible to form any meaningful merger and expect it to work.

He assured to provide meaningful information for the media, if elected into power.
