Youths in Ogun State on Saturday advised President Muhammadu Buhari on the state of the nation, saying that the country is not too old to get better at 61.
The youths, under the umbrella of Ogun Youth Advocate For Social Development (OGYASD) made this know in a statement in Abeokuta, the state capital.
OGYASD stressed that the 61st anniversary calls for sobber reflection more than celebration.
The group’s President, Comrade Oluseyi Alamu insisted that the federal government must engage necessary stakeholders in the move to battling the challenges the nation is facing.
Alamu who charged the FG to go after bandits and not agitators, also appealed to the President to stage war against banditry menacing the nation.
He said “This anniversary calls for sobber reflection more than celebration. President Muhammadu Buhari should use this period to address the security challenges that is posing difficulty to us in this country.
“Mr President sir, creat time to sit with necessary stakeholders to fix the nation. Nigerians cannot continue to live at the mercy of bandits. The time to wage war against banditry is now.
“We commend your efforts- your struggles to end the urgly narrative in our dear country, but Nigerians needs more from you Mr President.”
