Innovation: Ogun Set To Partner Private Sector To Improve On Digital Business

The Ogun State Government has expressed its readiness to partner with the leading and foremost technology organisation, GetFundedAfrica, as part of an effort to promote employability skills and job opportunities for the youth of the state.

The partnership would unveil a business innovative program that would recycle business ideas into digital products for developing youths and a digital economy system, tagged “Gateway Ideas To Business Programme”

This was made known through the Special Adviser on Information and Technology, Dayo Abiodun, at Ogun TechHub, Abeokuta during a stakeholders meeting with GetFundedAfrica whose main objective was to corroborate Governor Abiodun’s initiative to develop youths on Information Technology.

Dayo disclosed that the “Gateway Ideas To Business Programme” would be one of its kind in the country as youths in the State have loads of benefits which include six weeks of hands-on training to hatch their business ideas, recycle them into digital products, connect with corporate investors at digital market space, tech credit support of about 50,000 dollars among others to promote self-employment in the youths.

He called on interested individuals, startups, or ventures to register via https://getfundedafrica.com/nigeria and click on ‘Register now’ on or before 15 October 2023, after which unbiased selection would be made for the training and empowerment.

Contributing, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), GetFundedAfrica Debo Omololu hinted that after the six-week training program, 144 business start-ups or ventures with sellable ideas would be selected across the state for recycling to digital products, saying free office space at Ogun TechHub with internet facility, among other advantages were included.

The CEO applauded the State Government for the establishment of Ogun TechHub which has been giving unbeatable technology development to its teaming youths across the State.
