Ladi Adebutu aborted my Senatorial ambition despite quitting governorship race for him, Bamgbose

An aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ogun state, Prof. Olufemi Bamgbose has accused the governorship candidate of the party, Ladi Adebutu of killing his Senatorial ambition, despite giving up the governorship race for him.
Bangbose who is now contesting the governorship seat on the platform People’s Redemption Party (PRP) said while he was in the PDP, he quit his governorship ambition for Adebutu to run the Senatorial race for Ogun west only for Adebutu to substitute his name for another aspirant.
The Professor of Educational Administration and Management said the acrymony and disunity in the PDP made him dump the party for his current party, PRP which he described as more credible and reliable.
Bangbose who spoke at a Press conference in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital at the weekend where the PRP unveiled him as the governorship candidate, regretted that the incident occured after the PDP had collected huge amount of money from him to obtain the Senatorial form.
He added that, after the incident, the leadership of the PDP wrote him a letter of apology, promising to compensate him but reneged in its promise.
Bangbose described the PDP in Ogun as a corrupt and unjust party.
He said “I started my aspirant on the platform of PDP but when I saw the acrymony and disunity, I decided to stepdown. I stopped down my governorship aspiration for Hon. Ladi Adebutu and despite the huge amount I spent on the my ambition as aspirant, I didn’t demand anything from Adebutu.
“I decided to pursue a senatorial ticket for Ogun west. I purchased the form, I went to the primary. We were asked to pay millions of naira to purchase form, I won the primary election, shortly after the primary election, Hon Adebutu decided to go and substitute my name behind me.
Bangbose boasted that of all the governorship candidates in the state, he is the most educated and qualified.
Chairman of the party, Samson Ogunsanya assured that the party preferred the choice of Bangbose because of his good record.
He said “We have provided Professor Bangbose to win the election. He has a good record. He has all it takes, he will deliver.”
