Lagos Records Another Covid-19 Deaths

Lagos reported another backlog of 93 COVID-19 deaths on Sunday, taking its overall deaths to 604.

Nigeria’s death toll also jumped to 2,454.

On Saturday, Lagos similarly recorded a backlog of 53 deaths, dating from 4 August.

The new deaths were announced Sunday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC).

The agency did not indicate what period the 93 deaths covered.

However, the daily COVID-19 cases went southwards.

Only 362 cases were registered with Lagos accounting for 200, more than 50 per cent.

Active cases rose to 10,604.

“Till date, 191345 cases have been confirmed, 178283 cases have been discharged”, NCDC said.
