Obasanjo, Abiodun, Amosun Pay Last Respect To Late Nigerian Socialite ‘Cash Madam’
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Dapo Abiodun, and the former Governor of Ogun State paid tribute to the late Nigerian socialite Adebisi Edionseri, known as Cash Madam, during her burial at her residence in Abeokuta on Monday.
The trio spoke highly of Edionseri, who passed away at the age of 89, praising her as a remarkable woman whose legacy should be emulated by others.
Speaking at the funeral, Obasanjo expressed his admiration for Cash Madam, describing her as a woman of great influence and character.
The former President said “She has lived a good life. She was a woman of great influence and character. She will greatly be missed.”
On his own part, Governor Dapo Abiodun noted that it is important to follow Edionseri’s footsteps in contributing positively to society.
The emotion laden governor urged the gathering to take lessons from the life of the deceased.
“When I received the news, I was shocked. We must all learn from this. Death is inevitable. This is painful but we cannot question God. Cash madam has lived a well fulfilled life and there is no doubt about that.
“This woman was a successful Nigerian and she has influenced many people with her success. She has lifted so many people. She developed people, touched and humanity.
Also, former Governor Amosun commended Cash Madam’s accomplishments and the impact she had on the community.
“Mama’s has left a great legacy and I must say that she can never be forgotten. Must learn to live right because what people will say when we are gone really matters. She was a great woman.
Amosun added, “She was a woman of kindness, generosity, and she was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.”
