Ogun Customs Generates Over N4 Billion in January

The Ogun II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has announced a milestone in revenue generation, reporting a total of N4,000,335,323.53 in January 2025.
According to the command, the achievement marks a 104% increase from the corresponding period in 2024, when it generated N2,135,276,673.86.
In a press briefing held at the command office in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital on Thursday, the Controller, Olusola Bisi Alade attributed the command’s revenue generation to its diligence,professionalism, and dedication to duty.
Alade said the improvement in command activities in the free trade zones, such as Ogun Guangdong, Ceplast, and Flourmill Free Trade Zone, and the bonded terminal also contributed to the success.
His words “ It may interest you to know that the command generated. The sum of Four billion, three hundred and thirty-five million, three hundred, twenty-three thousand and fifty-three kobo 4,000,335,323.53kb as revenue for the month of January.2025.
“This can be compared to two billion, one hundred and thirty-five million, two hundred and seventy-six thousand, six hundred- and seventy-six-naira, eighty-six kobo N2,135,276.673.86kb generated in the corresponding period of last year, 2024.
“This attainment is an evidence of the diligence, professionalism and dedication to duty of our officers who worked tirelessly to ensure that we met and exceeded”, Alade added.
Meanwhile, the command discovered four unauthorized factories operating without proper licenses and permits.
These factories, namely Evita Moore, Lekan Industries, Scarlet Eagle Ltd, and IBK Ventures, have been brought under exercise control and are undergoing registration.
Alade noted “The Ogun II Area Command’s achievement is also credited to the synergy, focus, and teamwork within the command leadership, as well as the critical roles played by the Monitoring Unit, Customs Intelligence Unit, and the Customs Police Unit.”
