OGYASD condemns attack on INEC office in Ogun
The Ogun Youth Advocate for Social Development (OGYASD) on Tuesday condemned the recent attack on the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at Iyana Mortuary area of Abeokuta by some suspected hoodlums.
The hoodlums, numbering about eight, were reported to have invaded the INEC office in the early hours of Thursday and set it ablaze.
President of the group, Comrade Oluseyi Alamu described the attack as satanic and a disrespect to the Nigerians government.
Alamu who was worried about the incident cautioned youths in the state against criminal acts before, during and after the elections.
He therefore urged the youths to avoid actions that could disrupt peace in the state before, during and after the election.
He also cautioned the youths and all political parties’ candidates across the state to avoid prompting sentiments during campaigns.
