OGYASD Writes Acting IGP Egbetokun, Demands Reform In Police Force

The Ogun Youth Advocate For Social Development (OGYASD) has written to the newly appointed Acting Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, urging him to lead the police force in a manner that Nigerian youths can emulate.
In the letter signed by the President of the group, Comrade Oluseyi Alamu, the OGYASD congratulated Egbetokun on his appointment as the Acting Inspector General of Police and expressed hope that he would bring much-needed reforms to the police force.
“We are confident that your appointment will usher in a new era of professionalism, discipline, and accountability in the Nigerian Police Force,” the letter read.
The group also called on Egbetokun to prioritize the welfare of police officers and ensure that they are adequately equipped to carry out their duties effectively.
“We urge you to prioritize the welfare of police officers, especially in terms of their training, equipment, and remuneration.
” This will not only boost their morale but also enhance their effectiveness in combating crime and ensuring the safety and security of all Nigerians,” the letter added.
Comrade Oluseyi Alamu also congratulated Egbetokun on his appointment and expressed optimism that he would use his position to improve the image of the police force and restore public trust and confidence in the institution.
“We congratulate you on your appointment as the Acting Inspector General of Police and we wish you every success in your new role.
“We believe that you have the capacity, experience, and leadership qualities to reposition the Nigerian Police Force and restore public trust and confidence in the institution,” he said.
The OGYASD is a youth-led organization committed to promoting social development and advocating for the rights and interests of Nigerian youths.
