Over 70 Varsity’s Registrars To Storm FUNAAB For ARNU Retreat

More than 70 university Registrars from different universities across the nation will on Thursday 14th, October storm the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) for the 16th Annual Retreat and 70th Business Meeting of the Association of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (ARNU).
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who will stand as the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion is expected to deliver a Goodwill Message on behalf of the Government and the good people of the.
The retreated which will be facilitated by the Registrar of the University and Secretary of ARNU, Dr. Bola Adekola will hold at the Prof. Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building of the institution.
A release by the the University’s Head, Directorate of Public Relations, Kola Adepoju indicated that the retreat was endorsed by the University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako who is the Chief Host.
According to the release “The Registrars of all Nigerian Universities will temporarily relocate to FUNAAB as the institution will host over 70 Registrars of the nation’s Ivory Towers.
“The University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Salako and the National Chairman of ARNU, Dr. Abubakar Mamuda who is the Registrar of Federal University, Lafia will lead the entourage that will receive and welcome Governor Abiodun to the University and the AGM respectively.
“Highlight of the 16th Annual Retreat and 70th Business Meeting which will hold from Thursday, October 14th to Friday 15th include a Keynote Address titled, “Professionalism, Work Ethics and Unionism in Nigerian Universities – The Nexus” which will be delivered by Prof. Saburi Adesanya.
“The Meeting will also climax and be spiced by Business Sessions, Courtesy Call on the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Visit to FUNAAB Zoo Park and a Gala Nite.
Also expected at the Opening Ceremony are Principal Officers of the University, former Registrars of the University, serving Administrators of the University under the aegis of ANUPA.
