
The operatives of the Ogun stats police command have arrested two suspects, Agbo Jeremiah and Sunday Ngbuta for conspiracy and vandalisation of the IBEDC installation wires and iron in the Ogunmakin area area of the state.
A statement by the command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola indicated that the divisional police officer of Owode Egba arrested the two suspects on Monday night.
According to the statement, operatives from the Safer Highway encountered two suspects carrying rolls of cable wires and iron rods, subsequent upon which they were arrested.
Odutola said “Operatives from the Safer Highway reported that on the same day, while at the Macpherson University area, they encountered two men carrying rolls of cable wires and iron rods.
“The men asked for assistance in carrying their load, arousing suspicion that the item may be stolen items.
“On arriving at the overhead bridge at Ogunmakin, the driver signalled the police officers on duty and informed about his suspicions, and the police flagged down the vehicle.
Omolola stressed that the suspects are currently being interrogated, and further updates will be provided.
“Photographs of the stolen item were taken, and the suspects could not ascertain the possession of the item or satisfy questions put to them .
