Police Move To Arrest Glaucoma, Cataracts In Ogun, Organise Free Eye Screening For Residents

Hundreds of persons, including officers and residents of Abeokuta have benefited from the free eye screening and other related body checks of Ogun State Police Command hospital.

The medical outreach which was held at the Zone 2 area command, Abeokuta, the state capital was done in conjunction with St. Mary’s Catholic Eye hospital .

The outreach witnessed screening for glucomenia, high blood pressure, blood sugar and body temperature.

Speaking with newsmen, the Officer in Charge of Medical, Ogun State Police Command, CSP Ihegboro Minachiso, said the outreach was for the people to understand the State of their sights as well as their general health status.

He said there is need for the people to ensure they go for regular medical checkup, saying health is wealth.

He said the command embarked on the outreach as part of its corporate social responsibility, stressing that the command’s medical team will roll out many more medical outreach in coming months.
