Pomp As Ogun Community Leader Celebrates Birthday, Empowers Youths

Orile-Imo community in Obafemi Owode Local Government of Ogun state could not contain colossal of guests who stormed the birthday ceremony of Chief Olamilekan Olakunle on Thursday.

Family, friends, traditional rulers, business associates, community members and other well wishers stormed the occasion to celebrate Asiwajue for his immense support for the community in different form.

Market women, farmers and other associations splashed the occasion in their very colourful attires to express their gratitude to Asiwaju for his contributions to their associations.

Youths in the community and others from neighboring communities who also stormed the occasion were enrobed with joy as there was enough to drink, eat and lot of fun to catch.

The twin event was clipped with commissioning of a well-suited hotel facility and mosque donated by Asiwaju to the Orile-Imo community.

So colorful, Asiwaju at the birthday party empowered some youth within and outside the community in kind and cash.

Materials donated included sewing machines, hair dryers and check of M50,000 each to others who needed money to support their businesses.

Speaking to Journalists at the event Asiwaju said “I am elated. What God has done for me, I cannot explain it. God has been very good to me. He brought me from nobody to somebody and that’s why I am celebrating to show gratitude to Him.

“I want to advisee individuals to also emulate this by giving back to their society. If you have all it takes, contribute to the developmental of your society and your people will be happy with you.
