Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Frank Vaughan is dead

Popular Nigerian fillmmaker and former Vice President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Frank Igho Okpokoro Vaughan, is dead.

He reportedly died in Warri, Delta State, on Tuesday after battling with an undisclosed illness.

The President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, DGN, Dr. Victor Okhai, confirmed the sad news to Vanguard in a telephone conversation.

“Yes, he died yesterday, but I’m yet to get the details of his death,” Okhai said.

Vaughan, a seasoned movie director, played a vital role in shaping the Nigerian movie industry and mentoring aspiring filmmakers.

He was a seasoned TV producer/director and director, as well as a current affairs and political analyst.
Vaughan, who was born in the1960s, was lately a pastor at Dominion City Church, Asaba, Delta State.
