‘The blood of innocent Nigerians will judge you’ – Adebutu warns political leaders

The Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in the 2023 Ogun State elections, Ladi Adebutu, has cautioned politicians against playing politics with the lives of innocent Nigerians.

Adebutu sounded the caution on Thursday at the 92 years remembrance ceremony for his late great grandfather, Pa Alimi Adebutu who died in 1932 at Ijeun Akoni in Odeda local government area of Ogun State.

The PDP’s Governorship candidate contested against the incumbent governor Dapo Abiodun of the APC in the last election but lost.

The aftermath of the election recorded court cases due to alleged vote buying and violence in some polling units. 

Adebutu while speaking with newsmen during the ceremony, stated that the blood of innocent Nigerians is already crying against politicians who indifferent to the yearning of Nigerians for good governance and change. 

The PDP candidate said “We have been warning them but the wouldn’t listen, the children that are supposed to enjoy gree education but you deprived them of it, their failure in life is your responsibility in heaven. I will keep emphasising it. 

“The likes if Awolowo didn’t do anything special but they lived a life of honesty. I was in National Assembly in 1992, proceeded to thr 8th Assembly, except i cheated Nigerians.

He boasted that the Adebutu’s legacy will revibrate in generations to come, stressing that he dosen’t have to loot public funds to run personal affair. 

His words “Hardly is there a local government in Ogun that dosen’t  receive our transformer and those transformer were not purchased with government money. I am not the type that brags with government money..

“Let’s leave well so that we can leave a good legacy behind just like my great grand father”.
