Tinubu Pays August Visit To Obasanjo

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

Tinubu arrived at about 1:10pm in company of Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and other dignitaries which include Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, former governors Chief Olusegun Osoba, Gbenga Daniel, Chief Bisi Akande and former EFCC boss, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, amongst others.

Also at the gathering were former deputy governors of the state, Gbenga Kaka and Salimot Badru and other state government functionaries.

Tinubu proceeded to Obasanjo private residence to a close door meeting which may be connected to his 2023 Presidential bid.

Tinubu who emerged from the Penthouse into the hands of the crowd and newsmen after the meeting didn’t not grant press interview.

Scores of APC’s loyalists who stormed the venue, singing the party’s popular songs, headed to the MKO Abiola stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta where Tinubu was invited by governor Dapo Abiodun to celebrate the artisans Day.

At the MKO Abiola stadium, Asiwaju was asked to presented a vehicle, gifted by the governor to the artisans but Tinubu took the mic and only prayed for them.

Details of the meeting have not been made public, the event is undoubtedly a significant one for many reasons.
