ABEOKUTA-The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Complex in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday.
Accompanied by prominent political figures, including Senator Aminu Tambuwal and former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke, Atiku arrived at the residence at 12:37 pm.
Upon arrival, the former Vice President went into a closed-door meeting with Obasanjo, which lasted for over two hours.
Although the meeting’s details were not disclosed, it is speculated that it may be connected to the forthcoming 2027 general election.
However, when approached by journalists, Atiku refusing to grant an interview described the meeting as a “courtesy visit”.
“I don’t want to talk about politics. I have only come on a courtesy visit’, Atiku said.
