” My grandfather Late. Hrm Adelani Obamoro was the previous king of our town. As a revered Monarch he reigned for a very long time on the throne. His reign was peaceful and brought a lot of growth and development to our town.

“Upon his demise, another king was installed from another ruling house. We have two ruling houses in our town.
But the reign of his predecessor was just two years and six month. The late king’s reign did not record any remarkable growth .

Then, when it was now the turn of our ruling house , the whole lineage beckoned on me to be the king. It would have been my father but he died young, some few years after my grandfather ascended the throne.

” He was the first born of my grandfather.
Before the issue of ascension to the vacant throne, I have completely accepted God and Jesus Christ into my life and that of my household.
Since,I don’t have a father, I was nominated to fill the vacant stool previously occupied by my grandfather.

Nobody in our ruling house opposed to my nomination but my mother’s Junior brother disclosed what it entails. He revealed the secret of the long reign of my grandfather and the early death of my own father at young age.

“He informed me that the blood of the first born ( my father) was pledged for the longer reign peace and harmony and development recorded in our town during the reign of my grandfather.

My Uncle warned that if care is not taken, the same scenario would happened to me if I ascended the throne.
Upon hearing this, I and my wife intensified our prayers ,we went to many prayer mountains to pray , attended night vigils where the secrets revealed to me by my mother’s Junior brother were further confirmed.

“Alas, when the king makers in Council, Traditional worshippers of the town began to notice my reluctance, they began to hold nocturnal meetings on how to ensure that I become the king.

“When almost a year that the kingmakers and the deities worshippers of the town fully got to know of my reluctance as a result of the secret I have uncovered that my first son and only son’s blood would be sacrificed for my longevity on the throne, Peace, harmony and development of the town, they invited me to midnight meeting.

Initial, I was afraid to go, but I summoned courage so that they won’t start suspecting that I am aware of the plans.

“At the meeting, they Commended the reign of my grandfather. Analysed his period with his predecessor.

It was during this discussion that they bluntly informed me that to witness the type of reign of my grandfather, I must follow what he did.

I asked them what my grandfather did. They told me that he undertook ‘sacrifice’ but the Chief Priest did not further told me what the ‘Sacrifice’ entails. to ascend the throne for longevity on the throne, peace and harmony and even growth and development of the town.

I summoned courage and promised to get back to them. Two years after the meeting ,were nightmares and harrowing experiences for me and my family.

I started receiving emissaries who always came to warned me that since I have been told that a sacrifice is involved, I must not revealed it to anyone. Not even my mother or wife!
They added that I liked it or not the throne is mine .

It was at this period that I ran away to Ibadan,Oyo State Capital with my only son and wife.

I lived in perpetual fears for the life of my only and darling son, myself and that of my dear wife.

Despite my change of location, they intensified their threats all in bid to cow me to submission and accept the condition and the throne .

As luck would have it for me and my family, we travelled out of Nigeria on 26th of December,2023.

“I believed that if I ran away and far , far from the town, the life of my only son , mine and that of my wife will be safer .
I prefer to have my son, Isaac and wife, Ibidunni than becoming a king at the expense of the blood of my son,” The Prince concluded tearfully.
